This really sucks

I just got a call from my director and I lost my part. He wanted to go with someone who has more experience. I know it's all part of the business, but it still hurts. At least I have some free time now.

Thought for the day -

Don't count your chickens until the horse is out of the barn.

I'm so sorry that they took away your part. I hope you find the silver lining - I know there's gotta be one(even in addition to the free time). Great thought today... I'm sure it's much easier to count chickens without that dang horse getting in the way.

I'm not familiar with the entertainment business, but how can they just "take away" your part? That's crap.

Drew:

I was shocked to find this out this morning when I read my e-mail. I'm not sure why as well - in our work together I wasn't aware of any issues. I hope that this doesn't hurt you too deeply, and please know you have someone out here who is rooting for you along the rest of your path. Take care, and may the angels watch your steps for the next few days.

P.S. You have my e-mail and phone number from the cast list. Give me a call or drop me a line anytime.

Drew, I'm so sorry you lost the part. I was really shocked to hear it. I thought you were doing a great job. Don't let this discourage you from taking future parts (although I doubt you would)-you have great instincts and will do well in theatre. Keep the faith, OK?

Dude, sorry! But now this just means maybe it's a sign to get really going with submitting Susan. (Do you have a title for it?)
