Well, another May is in the books. Yesterday was fun. I started my second book and had some great ideas for a sequel to my first one. It may not be a good idea to do this while I'm still five chapters and a lot of editing from completing the first book, but I just go where the creative winds blow.
While I was blogging, I hit a link to the Agent Query web site. That site rocks! I know that all you veteran writers and authors out there are laughing at me and saying "Well, duh!" but for a rookie like me, this was like striking gold. The writing world is huge and it's fun discovering more of it.
Y'all take care and I'll see ya in June.

Thought for the day-

Why do Americans shorten the names for things by giving them acronyms, only to turn around and lengthen them again? PIN number (Personal Identification Number number) and ATM machine (Automated Teller Machine machine) are two prime examples.

Top O' the morning to you. Sunshine and the chirds are burping. I finished my short story/essay yesterday, and I think it might be pretty good. Now I have to find out where to submit a 1,000 word humorous piece. Take care.

Morning, all. I saw X Men III last night and think I can say without contradiction, Yowza!!! I love it when a movie lives up to the hype. In other news, I did some actual witting in my book yesterday. What with the play and all, it's been about a month. The really cool thing is that I wrote a line that hit my brain in a funny way, so I started writing a short story. So far so good. I had a great talk with my author friend at church. I was having "First time author's anxiety". She told me that it was normal and that it never goes away. Thanks, Jenn.

Thought for the day-

You know you're a writer when you are sitting in front of your computer eating top ramen and using a dictionary for a TV tray.

P.S. Thanks for the nice words, mom.

How y'all doing? I spent last night working on the set for the play. Hard work, but passed the time playing Disney trivia. Lots of errands to run today. Still might be able to squeeze in X men III tonight.

The difference between a large pizza and a writer is that a pizza can feed a family of four.

Another soggy spring day in the pacific northwest. Last night, I came up with the idea for my second book. No more wondering if I have another one in me. It looks like I'm in this writing thing for the long haul. I'm spending most of my time editting right now because my brain is full of drama stuff. Some times it's hard to keep all the balls in the air.

I just got back from guitar class (working on some Jimmy Buffett tunes) to find out that thanks to Zinnia, I have at least doubled the amount of people who have looked at my bolg. cool. Big news in my life: Last night, I was asked to be the assistant stage manager for the play at my local theater. The next best thing to getting a part. I was out of town during the auditions :( Well, got to get back to working on my book. More soon.

You know that sign by the freeway construction sites that tells you how well your money is being used? How much did that sign cost?
